The sign in the New Jersey MADD office still reads "New Jersey, 14th State for .08", but the 14 has been crossed out many times as .08 bills came and went. It stopped at 46th on Tuesday, as Governor McGreevey signed a .08 BAC illegal limit into law, a feat that probably would not have happened without MADD persistence and federal leadership.
